Purpose:
To elevate ACE Medical’s brand presence to match its reputation as Hawaii’s most trusted DME provider—balancing clinical credibility with a warm, human touch—while setting the foundation for a full e-commerce experience.
Outcomes: Within the first three months of launch, ACE Medical saw a 27% increase in rental orders—a strong performance benchmark in the DME industry—alongside an uptick in customer inquiries and repeat visits, signaling deeper brand trust and engagement.
ACE Medical has been a trusted name in Hawaii’s DME (durable medical equipment) space for years, but their digital presence no longer reflected the trust, quality, and care they were known for in the community. The challenge was to elevate the brand identity while building a website that could eventually serve as a fully functional e-commerce platform for both purchases and rentals.
The brand refresh needed to balance clinical credibility with a warm, human presence, ensuring customers felt supported while making important decisions about their health and independence.
The project began with a deep dive into ACE Medical’s existing brand and customer journey. We audited all brand touchpoints, identified areas of visual inconsistency, and established a vision that honored the company’s long-standing credibility while modernizing its presence for digital.
The refreshed brand introduced a more refined logo, a clean and modern typeface for improved readability, and a color palette that merged professionalism with approachability. These updates extended into the website design, where the focus was on clear product categorization and an improved browsing experience.
While the site now visually reflects the brand’s values, the e-commerce functionality remains a work in progress due to challenges in organizing product data and removing duplicate listings. This phased approach allows the brand to launch with a strong visual foundation while continuing to refine the back-end for a seamless future shopping experience.
In parallel, I designed a new brochure for healthcare conferences, aligning every touchpoint—from web to print—under the same visual identity. This ensured ACE Medical’s presence in both physical and digital spaces felt unified and credible.
In just two months, ACE Medical transformed from an outdated online presence to a modern, credibility-driven brand identity that better reflects its core values of quality home care, independence, and dignity.
The most meaningful part of this project was seeing the brand finally match the heart behind its mission—helping people live better, longer, and with more comfort. This wasn’t just about new visuals; it was about creating a foundation for meaningful change in a space dedicated to care.
